KOMERCREGISTRS.LV TERMS OF USE

1. General provisions

1.1. These Terms of Use govern the use of the internet platform Komercregistrs.lv (hereinafter – the Platform).

1.2. By using the Platform, the User confirms that they have read these terms, understand them, and agree to them.

1.3. The purpose of the Platform is to provide business support solutions, including information, document preparation tools, listing publication options, partner service information, and other business-related services.

1.4. The Platform may be in a development, testing, or gradual rollout stage. Certain functions may be unavailable during specific periods.

2. Platform services

2.1. The Platform may provide:

  • automated document preparation;
  • business informational materials;
  • listing publication;
  • partner service information;
  • business support tools;
  • downloadable software;
  • other services intended for business.

2.2. The Platform is not a state authority and is not affiliated with the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.

2.3. The Platform does not provide the services of a sworn attorney, tax advisor, auditor, financial advisor, or investment advisor, unless specifically stated otherwise.

3. User obligations

3.1. The User undertakes to:

  • provide truthful and current information;
  • comply with the regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union;
  • not use the Platform for unlawful purposes;
  • not distribute misleading, offensive, or unlawful content;
  • not endanger the security of the Platform.

3.2. The User is fully responsible for:

  • the accuracy of entered data;
  • the content of submitted documents;
  • published listings;
  • business decisions made.

4. Automated document preparation

4.1. Documents available on the Platform are prepared automatically based on information entered by the User.

4.2. The Platform does not carry out an individual legal assessment or analysis of the User specific situation.

4.3. The Platform does not guarantee that a particular document will be suitable for all possible situations.

4.4. Before submitting documents, the User is obliged to check the content of the documents.

4.5. The Platform is not liable for consequences arising from inaccurate or incomplete User data.

5. Listings and user content

5.1. Listings may be published only by registered users.

5.2. It is prohibited to publish:

  • misleading information;
  • fraudulent offers;
  • unlawful content;
  • content infringing the rights of third parties.

5.3. The Platform does not carry out prior review of all listings and does not guarantee the truthfulness of published information.

5.4. The Platform has the right, without prior warning, to:

  • delete content;
  • restrict access;
  • suspend or close a user account.

6. Partner services and third parties

6.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party services.

6.2. The Platform may receive a commission or other remuneration from cooperation partners.

6.3. The Platform is not liable for third parties:

  • services;
  • data processing;
  • terms;
  • actions or omissions.

6.4. The User must independently assess the suitability of third-party services for their needs.

7. Software and licences

7.1. If the Platform provides downloadable software, the User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable licence to use it.

7.2. Without written permission, it is prohibited to:

  • modify the software;
  • carry out reverse engineering;
  • circumvent licensing mechanisms;
  • distribute the software to third parties.

8. Data protection

8.1. Personal data is processed in accordance with:

  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR);
  • the Personal Data Processing Law;
  • other applicable regulations.

9. Intellectual property

9.1. The Platform design, software, logos, content, databases, and other elements are protected in accordance with the Copyright Law and other intellectual property regulations.

9.2. The following is prohibited:

  • copying the Platform;
  • automated data extraction (scraping);
  • reproduction of content for commercial purposes without permission.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1. The Platform is provided essentially “as is”.

10.2. The Platform does not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted operation;
  • error-free operation;
  • the achievement of specific results.

10.3. The Platform is not liable for:

  • indirect damages;
  • loss of profit;
  • loss of data;
  • actions of third parties;
  • User errors.

10.4. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited under applicable regulations.

11. Account restriction

11.1. The Platform has the right to suspend or restrict access if:

  • these terms are violated;
  • suspicious activity is detected;
  • system security is endangered.

12. Informational content

12.1. Articles, news, guides, comments, calculators, and other information published on the Platform are intended for informational purposes only.

12.2. Such information is not to be regarded as legal, tax, financial, investment, or professional advice.

13. Changes to the terms

13.1. The Platform has the right to amend these terms at any time.

13.2. The current version is always published on the Platform.

14. Applicable law

14.1. These terms are governed by the regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union.

14.2. Disputes are resolved in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Latvia and in the manner established by the competent authorities.
